    [Abstract] The new round of technological revolution brings worldwide manufacturing change and industrial remodeling. “Made in China 2025” has proposed China's manufacturing industry development strategic goal of the next 30 years, with the core purpose of transforming from a big country into a stronger manufacturing country. Under strategic opportunities, automotive industry, as one of the ten key areas will play a supporting and leading role in the transformation and upgrading process of manufacturing industry. Furthermore, construction of a stronger automotive country will be built in order to achieve “Made in China 2025” and provide the strongest power to build a stronger manufacturing country. The research is based on related study of "manufacturing powerful nation" project by Chinese Academy of Engineering in automotive field, and systematically expounds “automotive industry strategy” in “Made in China 2025”. Combining the ten core indicators of a stronger automotive country’s model, we propose the future development orientation of automotive industry for 30 years and strategic objectives on national and enterprise levels. The research focuses on clarifying the overall ideological, strategic objectives, implementation pathway and related technical roadmap for building a stronger automotive country in order to provide clear strategic guidance to the construction of a stronger automotive country.
